I’ve been a political journalist for more than 30 years - though I took five years out to be an elected politician campaigning for Brexit.

As a patriotic social and cultural conservative, I am acutely aware that life has become much harder for people from ordinary, working class British backgrounds in particular.

Substack is where I write about the issues I feel are too often ignored or marginalised by the political and media establishment elite.

Right now, that list of issues is topped by the uncontrolled mass immigration our country has seen over the past quarter of a century. Law and order, the assault on British heritage and traditions, the rise of militant “Woke” identity politics, disincentives in the tax and benefits systems and the way our housing market shuts out hardworking people who lack recourse to a “bank of mum and dad” are also things I am passionately concerned about.

By subscribing - and particularly by becoming a paid subscriber - you can support my work digging into official statistics and sources to unearth evidence of trends and impacts that establishment figures would prefer to keep hidden.

If my mission appeals to you then please consider becoming a paid subscriber and help me blow the whistle on establishment policies that are making life worse for the majority of our fellow citizens.
